giving people awards for doing their jobs properly? I thought that only happened to long-serving civil servants and their undeserved OBEs. But I guess many journos have big egos.
Everyone working as a hack in today’s insane and under-staffed industry should get the BST; Blood Sweat and Tears award.

Absolutely . Lets not congratulate anyone for being the best at what they do. In fact let’s not have any awards while people are losing their jobs. The last thing we need is any encouragement.

It must be a bitter irony for the Bristol Evening Post staff to be rewarded for excellence with a cull on the newsroom floor.
