Industry regulators to take stand at Leveson Inquiry

Industry regulators are set to take centre stage at next week’s session of the Leveson Inquiry with representatives of the Press Complaints Commission and Ofcom among those giving evidence.

Stepehen Abell, the current director of the PCC, will give evidence on Monday along with his predecessor, Tim Toulmin.

Tuesday will see the watchdog’s current chairman, Lord Hunt, take the stand, followed by the former chairman, Sir Christopher Meyer.

Others giving evidence next week include Colette Bowe and Ed Richards of Ofcom, Guy Parker of the Advertising Standards Agency and Lord Black, chairman of the Press Board of Finance (PressBof) which funds the PCC.
