Your frist person account of learning about the illness, trying to cope and the emotions felt by the people you love is quite astonishing.

It’s you at your brilliant best. Just like Carl Palmer, I spent an age going over it all, again and again.

You are a great guy, great father, great husband (not forgetting great journalist) and with all those to your credit – you deserve the very best in your personal fight. Goog luck Neal.

Neal, I stared at the page for a long time, finding it impossible to separate my deep shock from personal awe for your fighting spirit.
