Sussex weekly’s shop closure shock

We’ve had the Whitstable custard shortage…we’ve had the large plane spotted in the sky above Peterborough…now here’s some more hot news, this time from Haywards Heath.

Readers of the Mid-Sussex Times will doubtless have been relieved to find that the store has now reopened.

    This story needed quotes from Mary ‘Queen of Shops’ Portas, an angry pensioner, a local councillor and a Boots spokesman — plus a sidebar interview with local MP Nicholas Soames pointing out that ‘Research shows 20 shops close down permanently every day in the UK’

    Simply shame on this paper for publishing such rhubarb.
    Another way of holding up the press to ridicule, after weeks of hacking news and sleazy conduct elsewhere.
