This nib from the Brentwood Gazette’s thisistotalessex.co.uk site may look like a classic end-of-silly-season story but according to editor-in-chief Alan Geere it’s already gone viral along with an accompanying tale about a scarf lost on the town’s High Street.
“It’s a nibtastic issue of @Gazette series this week” tweeted the soon-to-depart news chief, and who are we to argue?
Yes, forget all those insightful spreads on crime commissioners and community campaigns to stop or start something just stick to nibs. To date our shed story is the most commented story on thisistotalessex.co.uk, has had 7,558 hits, more than 100 facebook likes and countless twitter mentions. It’s nice to be going out on a high!
Cheers, everyone.

Reminds me of a certain fishy tail: ‘Exhaustion blamed for Hertford fish death’…
And, of course, the shocking Whitstable Custard Shortage.

Yes local news, including new shed plans and lost scarves, are important.
But at the expense of “insightful” spreads on the role which includes in its job description how much council tax people pay and what it is spent on… sorry but I don’t agree.
