A shorthand seminar will be held next month by the The National Council for the Training of Journalists.
The seminar on 20 June will see awards presented for the best shorthand performance over two speeds, all of which are sponsored by stationery store Ryman.
The awards are presented to the two students that deliver the best shorthand note and transcription at 100pc accuracy in the exams for 100 words per minute and 110/120.
Each student will receive a certificate and a cheque for £250 at the event at Manchester Town Hall.
The seminar is aimed at people involved in recruiting and training professional journalists of the future.
