The National Union of Journalists’ assistant organiser for the North and Midlands is to leave his role, it was announced today.
Lawrence Shaw, who is based in Stoke on Trent, will leave the union at the end of September.
He tweeted: “I am sad to be leaving the union I have worked for since 2005 and been a member of since I was 19. But the time is right.
“The decision to go was mine. I have several exciting opportunities coming up and the time is absolutely right for me to move on.”
