Regional daily completes move to new offices

A regional daily newspaper has moved to a new home after leaving its base of 25 years.

HTFP reported in August that The Bolton News was planning to leave its Churchgate offices to move to new headquarters in Bolton town centre.

The move was completed earlier this month, with the paper now being based at The Wellsprings building in Victoria Square, next to the museum and Town Hall.

Sisiter Newquest titles who were also based at Churchgate have also moved with the regional daily and these include the the Bury Times, Radcliffe Times, Prestwich and Whitefield Guide, and the free Bolton and Bury Journals.

The editorial, commercial and newspaper sales departments are based on the whole of the ground floor of the building, which previously housed Barclays bank and Connexions.

Editor-in-chief Ian Savage said: “It is very exciting to have moved to new offices, staying in the heart of Bolton’s town centre.”
