New book tells day in the life of journalists

Regional newspaper reporters are among those featured in a new book charting the a day in the life of journalists across the UK and beyond.

Former Take a Break editor John Dale has published e-book 24 Hours in Journalism following a project asking journalists to describe their day on 6 February this year.

The 90,000 word book includes stories from big media figures down to grassroots reporters covering a small local patch, with tales from across the UK and from the US, India, Asia and Australia.

It has been described as “a narrative of triumph, terror, bombs, laughter, sex, love, death, shame, courage, betrayal, hope, tears and joy – in other words, an average day in the life of journalists.”

The book is available to download on Kindle now and will be published on other e-platforms this week then printed as a paperback next month.
