Lottery funding boost for charity newspaper

A free newspaper for the health and disability sector has received £10,000 in lottery funding.

All Together Now! has been awarded the grant from the Big Lottery’s Awards For All Scheme and it will enable more copies of the title to be distributed in Greater Manchester.

The newspaper, which is edited by former Liverpool Echo journalist Tom Dowling, received the funding for the ‘innovative way it provides news for people affected by disability and age.’

Just a few months ago the newspaper, which is avaliable in supermarkets and hospitals in the North West, doubled its circulaton to 100,000 since the summer.

Tom said he hoped the money would help raise the profile of the newspaper with advertising and media buying agencies.
