Yorkshire daily launches business club

Businesses are being encouraged to network and share ideas through a forum set up by The Yorkshire Post this week.

The paper has launched a Business Club for professionals, directors and entrepreneurs to share the latest ideas in business thinking.

A launch event at the YP’s headquarters in Leeds was attended by 40 influential business people from across the region.

The club is open to all companies shortlisted in the last five years of the Yorkshire Post Excellence in Business Awards.

Editor Peter Charlton said: “We can all learn from those who have demonstrated excellence, no matter the field in which they operate.

“Innovation, entrepreneurial skill and daring are among the qualities that define the best of the Yorkshire business community.”

“Feeback was resoundingly positive with calls for the YP to stage more Business Club events.”

Plans are underway for an event featuring a Government minister and another with a wine-tasting session.
