A one-day seminar on public affairs will be held by the National Council for the Training of Journalists this month.

Taking place on Friday 16 September at the Local Government Association in London, it aims to bring delegates up-to-date with developments in public affairs and should be of interest to anyone involved in recruiting and training future journalists.

The keynote speaker will be John Pienaar, Radio 5 Live’s chief political correspondent and presenter of Pienaar’s Politics.

He will speak to delegates about the media’s role in holding the government to account at a time when journalism itself is under the spotlight.
