Former features editor makes the move into PR

An award-winning former regional daily features editor is set for a new career in public relations.

Jane Riddiford, who ran the features desk on the Western Daily Press, has joined growing south coast communications consultancy Polymedia.

A journalist for more than 20 years, 43-year-old Jane was also editor of Magazine.

Now she has been appointed as a senior consultant with Polymedia and will be adding her strengths to its writing and management team.

The consultancy has been established for more than two decades and has a client list which spans the leisure and tourism, professional services and property and construction sectors.

Said Jane: “After a career of holding key positions at some of the country’s leading regional daily newspapers, I am looking forward to putting that experience to good use in public relations.”

“This is an exciting time to join Polymedia, when the business is representing an ever-growing list of impressive, high-profile companies.”

Polymedia managing director Julie Fuge added:  “Jane is noted for her writing, creative and management skills – and her ability to spot a good story.
