NS to merge comms and marketing operations

The Newspaper Society is to merge its communications and marketing departments under the current comms director Lynne Anderson, it announced today.

The move follows the decision by marketing director Robert Ray to leave the NS in January.

Johnston Press chief operating officer Danny Cammiade will chair a new communications and marketing committee overseeing the new department, with Lynne as communications and marketing director.

He said:  “There is a logic to bringing the communications and marketing functions together in a more cohesive way under Lynne’s leadership. She has the skills and knowledge of the industry to help us build on the excellent work we are currently doing and which Robert Ray has done so much to promote and develop through his marketing insights and strategies.”
