Reporter back at work after swine flu

An Archant London news reporter is back in the office after suffering from a bout of swine flu.

Anna Nalborczyk, of the Ilford Recorder, was bedridden for five days after coming down the symptoms in keeping with the condition – fever, sore throat, dizziness, nausea and a headache.

The Recorder also reports that Anna’s brother now has the illness as well, which she self-diagnosed after calling NHS direct.

The 25-year-old said: “I can understand why people, especially parents, get really panicky as the symptoms develop and worsen really quickly.

“I was sleeping most of the time and the illness really sapped all of my energy.

“I have had regular flu before, and this didn’t feel the same. It was a lot worse.”

The Recorder says the local NHS authority is not keeping a record of victims in the borough after conceding swine flu is going to become more prevalent.
