Crain's seals trains deal

A north-west business magazine has signed what it hopes will be a readership-boosting deal with Virgin Trains.

Crain’s Manchester Business – launched earlier this year – will be distributed to all first class passengers travelling from the city’s Piccadilly Station to London Euston every Monday morning.

In addition, the weekly magazine will be made available to visitors to the Virgin First Class Lounge, at Manchester Piccadilly.

Publisher Arthur Porter will join other staff in personally distributing the magazine which will appear on trains from next Monday.

He said: “We are delighted to be associated with a company such as Virgin Trains.

“It is powerful testimony to the quality editorial the Manchester business community has come to expect every week from Crain’s.

“It makes travelling first class on Virgin an even more attractive proposition.”

Crain’s Manchester Business is edited by Steve Brauner, former editor of the North West Evening Mail.

It is published by Crain Communications and based on the successful series of city-based Crain business titles found in major cities across America.
