Six journalists and photographers employed by North Wales Newspapers Ltd have become the first in Wales to gain Newspaper Society Diplomas in journalism.
The six, all products of NWN’s in-house NVQ training scheme, received their diplomas at the company’s annual awards night ceremony from chairman Russell Whitehair.
Journalism diplomas went to Claire Hart, North Wales Chronicle; Antonia Merola, North Wales Pioneer; David Lawson and Sammy Holloway, Border Counties Advertizer.
Photography diplomas went to Mandy Jones, Wrexham Evening Leader and Katy Morgan, Denbighshire Free Press.
