Keith Perch has been appointed to the joint role of managing director and editor of Northcliffe Electronic Publishing.
Keith, who is already editor at NEP, will take up his new position on March 1, succeeding Richard Karn who is leaving NEP to become managing director of Northcliffe Newspaper’s South East Weeklies.
In his new role Keith’s major objective will be to further enhance the relationship between the local thisis portals and their sister newspapers.
Keith joined NEP in 2000 after previously editing the Derby Evening Telegraph.
He began his career as a trainee reporter with the Grimsby Evening Telegraph in 1978, and later worked at the Birmingham Post & Mail and the Hull Daily Mail.
He was launch editor of UK News in 1992, and edited the South Wales Echo from 1993 to 1996 before taking on the editor’s role at the Derby Evening Telegraph.
He was also responsible for the launch of HoldtheFrontPage.co.uk in 2000.
