Page views and contenton the up

An increase in the page-count for the online version of the Shropshire Star has coincided with an increase in the information available to readers.

Page impressions have gone up from 528,000 in February to 667,000 in March, the latest figures reveal.

New health and education sections have been added to the news pages of the site, Shropshirestar.com giving regular updates on developments concerning the region’s schools, colleges, hospitals and local health services.

There is also an extensive Dining Out section and schoolslink pages aimed at pupils, teachers and parents.

Internet editor Mark Waugh said: “Readers can also now find links to the regular contributions from our columnists, including political editor John Hipwood’s Westminster Diary, The Surgery, with Dr Roger Henderson, a look at the lives of the stars with Deanna Delamotta and a weekly contribution from myself with the On The Internet column.”
