The former home of the Evening World newspaper is set for a £3m redevelopment.
Recently renamed Colston 33 from the previous title of Northcliffe House, the 1930s building in Bristol is to be developed into offices.
It is proposed that the original art deco façade of Northcliffe House will also be restored to its former glory.
Chairman of Bristol Civic Society Alan Elkan said: “Northcliffe House has always been a really charming building. It has got some lovely details and it’s going to look great if it’s cleaned up and white again.”
The Evening World left Northcliffe House in 1962 after it merged with it’s main rival, the Evening Post.
