One of the longest-serving employees at Aberdeen Journals has signed off, taking his last shift in the press room 47 years after joining the firm.
Paul Shand, (62), began as a 15-year-old newsroom ‘runner’, served an apprenticeship to become a process engineer, and moved from hot metal to new technology.
