Pioneering Plymouth Herald headcam footage of a British forces camp in Afghanistan is being used by the Army to show the families of servicemen what life is like on the front line.
Images shot by The Herald’s defence reporter Tristan Nichols on deployment with city-based 3 Commando Brigade last year are now available on the Army’s own website.
The pictures of Camp Bastion were first shown on The Herald website.


Johnston Press has announced that HCM Johnston and Lord Gordon of Strathblane have both retired as non-executive directors of Johnston Press plc.
