New roles for Ken and Heather

The managing director of Hull Daily Mail Publications is relinquishing his post for a new role with its parent company Northcliffe Newspapers.

Ken Thompson has been appointed group personnel resources director at the newspaper group he has worked at for 24 years. He will continue to be based in Hull.

He became managing director in Hull in 1995 and for the past two years has also been director of employment affairs for the group.

Heather Wozniak will replace Ken as managing director at Hull.

She is currently managing director of Bath, Mid Somerset and Clevedon Newspapers, where she has worked since 1988.

After joining the company as an advertising sales executive, she progressed to advertising director before becoming managing director.

Both will begin their new roles on Monday.
