Make money from the Internet!

Phase two of the “new media experience” is to come under scrutiny at the Newspaper Society’s New Media Conference 2001 – when delegates discuss ways to make it pay.

Experts will consider new strategies to generate a profit from new media activity and help develop ideas to improve profitability.

Delegates will be able to see how the internet and other delivery channels, vertical marketplaces, audiences, content, partnerships, advertising and e-commerce – all combine to achieve the right results.

NS events executive Natasha Dodds said: “The two-day conference will be chaired by Tom Stevenson, managing director new media & group operations at Eastern Counties Newspaper Group.

“The subjects for discussion at the event will include revenue generation, partnerships and alliances, online classified verticals, the marketing and branding of websites, content and delivery channels.

“The event will also focus on reengineering our businesses for survival in thedigital age.”

The event will be held on June 18 and 19 in York.
