The University of Central Lancashire and Johnston Press has appointed professor Jane Singer as the first Johnston Press Chair in Digital Journalism.

The appointment is part of a research deal between the regional publisher and the university’s Department of Journalism, which is looking at the best ways of using digital technology to gather content, how to incorporate it into the newsroom and how best to distribute information.
