Hundreds of people turned up for a Nottingham Evening Post sale of cut-price compost bins.

Crowds began gathering two hours before the sale at the city’s Forest recreation ground on Sunday.

The paper was offering 330-litre bins for £15 – less than half the usual cost – as part of its Don’t Waste It campaign to reduce the amount of household waste dumped in landfill sites.
