The company was recognised for its shares triumph at the 2000 ProShare Awards, where judges noted that the group had more employee shareholders than any other group of shareholders and heralded its “remarkable achievement”.

ECNG has run a number of ShareSave schemes since 1994 and likes to encourage employee participation in the business.

Meanwhile the KM Group was recently named one of the top 50 Best Companies to Work for in the UK in The Sunday Times’ latest list.

And it was the staff who voted for the accolade!

Some 250 employees told researchers what they thought of the company, explaining how much they rated the firm on health and safety matters, workplace practises, the company philosophy and company culture.

Supporting evidence for the award included the continued support for Investors In People, as well as handbooks, newsletters, videos and training information.
