Expanded coverage in new-look Informer

A new-look Kingston Informer has been unveiled to readers, with expanded entertainments and ‘what’s on’ coverage among the improvements.

The Trinity Mirror title, part of North Surrey and London Newspapers, has been given a complete overhaul.

The relaunch includes a repackaged and improved eight-page entertainments and what’s on section, including seven-day TV listings for the first time.

Other improvements include:

  • New travel and business pages with guest columnists;
  • Extra sport;
  • Chef’s Table featuring weekly recipes from top local restaurants;
  • More motoring pages;
  • More jobs editorial.

    The Informer put together a strong package of promotions for its relaunch today, including a £300 Nokia phone competition.

    It also launched the Green Traveller Awards, a 12-week campaign to raise awareness of alternative green methods of transport with a £1,000 prize holiday in the Tyrol on offer for the winner.

    Readers also have the chance to win a share in a racehorse in a joint promotion with Kempton Park Racecourse next week.

    Editor-in-chief Kim Chapman said: “The Kingston Informer has always been a great read for the people of Kingston and now it’s even better.

    “The team has worked very hard to come up with a paper which is not only a brilliant read but also offers great value from cover to cover and I am very confident it will be a great success.”
