Editors will reveal how to "Win them back"

Speakers from around the regional press are lining up to share their thoughts at this year’s Society of Editors annual conference in York.

Editors Simon Bradshaw, from The Argus, David Gledhill, of the Bath Chronicle, and Paul Horrocks, of the Manchester Evening News, will take part.

The Conference, under the banner Winning Them Back, will look at law, “dumbing down”, race issues and sales and readership.

The main theme will be to examine the best in the media and to share the secrets of winning readers, listeners and viewers.

Speakers at the October event, to be held at the Royal York Hotel, also include Charles Moore, of the Daily Telegraph, Peter Preston of The Times, David Yelland of The Sun and former chief inspector of Schools Chris Woodhead.
