Hundreds of journalists who have worked in the north west and North Wales will remember Rex Thelwall.

After more than 30 years with Chester Chronicle and associated newspapers, Mr Thelwall is retiring at the end of June and a party in his honour is being planned.

He is currently group systems and production editor.
