After 50 days the Middlesbrough Evening Gazette’s Business a Day campaign has resulted in 81 new ventures.

The new businesses up and running include firms ranging from a garden maintenance firm to an information technology consultancy.

The Business A Day initiative is run in conjunction with Stockton-based business support organisation InBiz and aims to help get at least one business a day off the ground during 12 months.

Latest recruits also include a sandwich bar, a child minder and a community artist.
