The Hull Daily Mail is celebrating after the Molly-Ann Barnett appeal reached the £30,000 mark.
The newspaper has been supporting the appeal, which aims to raise money for leukaemia research.
It was inspired by the efforts of Paul and Mandy Barnett to find a bone marrow donor for their sick daughter.
The campaign resulted in thousands of readers joining the bone marrow register and a suitable donor was soon found for Molly-Ann.
Many people who were not able to join the register chose to donate money to the fund instead.
One couple completed a sponsored tandem ride from John O’Groats to Lands End to raise money whilst a recent charity golf day collected £2000.
Molly-Ann’s uncle, Graham Barnett, said: “We are delighted. £30,000 is a lot of money and the sum continues to rise.”
