An in-depth special by the Journal into how the foot and mouth crisis affected the North of Britain has been taken up by a pressure group.
The mental health group RuralMinds – dedicated to the well-being of people who live in the countryside – ordered 25 copies of the special publication, which helps people understand better how the foot and mouth crisis affected the North-East.
Kelvin Rushworth, of RuralMinds, said the Journal’s coverage and the booklet itself helped people to see just how the crisis affected the rural areas of the county.
He said: “I felt that The Journal’s coverage of the inquiry was excellent, it was really comprehensive.
“The Journal supplement was most appropriate as our advisory group is having its quarterly meeting soon. I am posting out information for that meeting, and so I have included a copy of the supplement for everyone to read.”
