Skegness Standard reporter Rebekah Gunn devised a light-hearted questionnaire to try to find out a little more about some of the people she meets in Skegness, and hopes to pose her “burning questions” to a variety of well-known local people.

But first she needed a “guinea pig” – so her editor John Cowpe was pressganged into the being the first ‘victim’. Here are John’s answers….


What was the last dream you can remember? Canoeing from Reading to Grimsby,and fretting about how to get back to Reading to collect my car.

If you were a fruit which would you be and why? A raspberry. They look niceand they feel nice.

What is the one thing you would change about yourself if you could? Myhair. It’s too flyaway – and a lot of it flew away years ago.

    Who did you have your first celebrity crush on? I never had one. But I dofind Goldie Hawn very appealing.

    What was your nickname at school and why? My best kept secret.

    What was the first record you bought? Sunny Afternoon by The Kinks. (Irecently joined The Kinks fan club!)
