Glasgow Herald writers Stewart McIntosh and Francis Shennan have been named as winners of top awards, Stewart for work covering residential property and Francis on personal finance.

They scooped the local/regional section of the Halifax/Laing Homes Property Journalist of the Year Awards in the two categories.

Cambridge Evening News property writer John Phelps was “highly commended” for the property section.

The overall winner was Isabel Berwick, who writes for the Financial Times, New Woman and New Statesman.
