Scottish press scoop top honours

The Sunday Herald has been named Scottish Newspaper Of The Year at an event which saw the paper pick up a total of seven awards.

The Glasgow-based title was the big winner of the night at the Scottish Newspaper of the Year Awards, organised by media and marketing magazine The Drum.

It also scooped prizes for Best Sunday Newspaper, Best Features, Best Design And Layout, Best Opinion And Editorial and Best Foreign Coverage, as well as The See Me Award, for coverage which helps challenge the stigma of mental health.

Other winners included The Herald, which was crowned Best Daily Newspaper and the Edinburgh Evening News, which won Best Evening Newspaper.
