Merseyside media celebrate

More than 200 editors, MDs and journalists gathered to see the best journalism talent from across Merseyside recognised at a new media awards scheme.

Winners of the Merseyside Media Network Journalism Awards were announced during a ceremony at Lime Street’s Holiday Inn, with Daily Post feature writer and columnist David Charters topping the list of honours and being crowned Merseyside Journalist of the Year.

David also scooped the Feature Writer of the Year award, and collected a cash prize of £500 and a jade crystal plaque.
