Press club dinner welcomes TV chef as guest speaker

Top TV chef Antony Worrall Thompson will be the guest of honour at a Birmingham Press Club dinner.

The chef will be joined by ITV Central Tonight presenter Jo Malin in the city later this month.

Antony has many links with Birmingham – not only does he hail from the Midlands but is also an enthusiastic supporter of the city’s annual 'Taste of Brum' food festival.

  • Celebrity chef Antony Worrall Thompson, with ITV's Jo Malin
  • John Lamb, Birmingham Press Club chairman, said: "Antony is probably one of Britain's best-known chefs and we are grateful that he has taken time out of his undoubtedly busy schedule to fit in a celebrity dinner for us.

"I'm sure he will cook up an entertaining and tasty evening for us and I would advise people interested in attending to book as fast as possible."

The evening starts at 6.30pm on January 31 at the Opus Restaurant, in Birmingham, and Antony will take part in a Q&A session with guests.
