Journalist Works is Brighton’s only independent journalism training company.

We work in partnership with The Argus, Brighton's regional daily newspaper, and train our students in their HQ, so trainees see the news operation first hand.

Our courses are for people looking to start careers in journalism and for the professional development of those already working in the industry.

  • We believe in good writing, good training, having fun and working hard – leading to good jobs in journalism.
  • A place on one of our courses will be always stimulating, sometimes challenging, and could be transforming.
  • Our diplomas, accredited by NCTJ, are professional, well respected and the passport to success in a competitive industry.
  • We provide excellent value for money.
  • All our tutors have significant industry experience. Real journalists to train real journalists.
