Former Grimsby Telegraph picture editor Dave Moss has scored a winning goal, by netting a deal to capture images at the new Wembley stadium.
Dave, who went freelance in January, and his partner Lisa Warrener - who is also a former Grimsby Telegraph snapper - have
been commissioned to do a series of pictures of the finished Wembley and its workers.
48-year-old Dave (pictured) had worked on the Telegraph picture desk for 25 years, and has been keeping busy since leaving the paper.
He has been awarded a contract to sell the software that helped give the company one of the most automated and efficient picture-management systems in newspapers.
He has also been lecturing at Lincoln University and taken night school classes for the Community Press Office, based at the Telegraph.
Dave said: "I've never stopped learning over the last 28 years in newspapers, but I'm easily and obviously described as a photographer.
"That's fine and is still my main passion in life. But it also jigsaws nicely with my other missions which are to teach others photography, simply and clearly, and help any business which handles images to streamline its picture handling and save time.
"I've also enjoyed the response I get from lecturing at Lincoln University, and locally I've found my enthusiasm for the subject in my night classes has brought a great response."
His partner Lisa was the first female photographer at the Telegraph when she joined 16 years ago.
The duo are soon due to face their biggest challenge yet – photographing most of the 1,200 performances over the nine days of the forthcoming Cleethorpes Dance Festival.
They will use the latest wireless technology to send the pictures as they are taken to a laptop to be printed out there and then.
