Sub-editor and mum-to-be asks readers to help pick name for her baby

A sub-editor at the Warrington Guardian has turned to readers of the paper to help her decide on the name of her first born.

When Jenni Carroll discovered she was to become a mum for the first time, she decided to share her experience by writing a blog on the paper's website, warringtonguardian.co.uk.

For the past five months, Jenni and husband Simon Beaumont have been writing their own online diaries about the journey to parenthood.

And when the parents to be couldn't decide on names, they decided to enlist the help of their audience.

More than 100 votes have been cast so far, with readers asked to choose between Amelia, Evangeline or Isabelle for a girl, or Edward, Maximilian or Robert for a boy.

To read Jenni and Simon's blogs and vote for your favourite girls' and boys' names, log on to warringtonguardian.co.uk/baby.
