Give Gerry Kreibich a nice Christmas surprise

And here is next week’s news…

In a bid to stave off a story drought, the Norwich Evening News has got a magician in to predict the headlines for next Tuesday’s edition.

‘Geraldini’ has already written down what he believes the headlines will be for the front page stories, and has placed his predictions in a sealed envelope to be opened at a local Magic Circle variety show on the day.

He set up the stunt on Radio Norfolk’s breakfast show.

Host Graham Barnard said: “I saw fair play. I haven’t seen the headlines but they are apparently in the box which is now locked and is in my possession.”

Evening News editor David Bourn said: “All of us in the office will be very interested to know just what Geraldini has predicted.

“We don’t know what the headlines will be tomorrow, never mind next Tuesday!”
