Journalists never forget their first death threat

The Liverpool Echo is becoming even bigger with a series of new supplements that will be introduced next month.

The paper, which has a total readership of more than 400,000, plans to give readers more for their money with new sections such as the Biz, a brand new business section for the region's small to medium sized businesses.

The new Monday feature will be added to the paper from September 1, carrying the latest news from Merseyside's business community, and will accompany the Echo's newly-expanded Xsport supplement.

Two new supplements are also being created for Tuesday's, with an eight page family leisure supplement called 'Time Off' and a 12-page youth sport section called 'Junior Xsport'WednesdayWednesday's Echo will now be twelve pages bigger and will see a new expanded 'Look' supplement and a brand new property section called 'Midweek Homes'.ThursdayThe Echo will continue to be the major marketplace on Merseyside for jobs. Hundreds of job vacancies appear every week, twice a week, making the Echo invaluable reading for people looking for a job or a change in career.FridayThe essential guide to entertainment and nightlife is found in 24/7 Friday's Echo. All the information you need to enjoy the European Capital of Culture. Theatre, gigs, clubs, cinemas, pubs and much more. Friday's paper will also include Motormax, the most complete car guide on Merseyside.SaturdayA brand new five page section devoted to homes and gardens. Invaluable advise about how to make your home look beautiful, including DIY tips and gardening advice. Plus fantastic through-the-keyhole features about real readers' homes.And, don't forget, Jobs is also featured again on Saturdays.
