Former Evening News journalist dies

The former Worcester Evening News journalist Gladys Bradley has died aged 93.

She wrote articles for the Evening News under her maiden name of Gladys Keighley, from the 1960s to the early 1980s.

She was a well-known local historian and had her work published in several journals and magazines as well as being the author of a book called The Pegasus Book of Trees.

Gladys, and her late husband Harold, were the founder members of the Worcester Writers' Circle, of which she was also the former honorary secretary.

She leaves two daughters and six grandchildren.
